"I told you Tank, don't just jump into the concertos just yet!" said Ripp, talking into his iPhone. "Start with the Czerny, the one Buck is learning with."

It was a lovely Friday morning as Ripp was in his home. The sun was shining through the windows of Ripp's bedroom as he was in front of his iMac, an online course was on the screen. Ripp chose to take online university course instead of going to university; because of his fame, he feared that fans will distract him from his studies. He was studying musical arts, a subject he was good at, and a one he loved. He also wanted to study aeronautical engineering, but he decided that it wasn't as important.

"Trust me Tank, sometimes, you have to start small." he sighed.

Back at the Grunt residence, Tank was in front of the old piano now in the renovated basement. He was checking a pile of sheet music and books filled with classical piano pieces that Lyla used to play. Tank desired to try out on music too. But like always, was impatient. "Uh Ripp" said Tank though his phone, as he open a Czerny book and tried a piece, "doesn't sound as beautiful as the stuff you play"

"Tank, uh, Czerny's music are exercises. You play those to exercise your fingers. Once you get the hand of that, you can move up in small steps" said Ripp again. He was just about to take a quiz online. "Uh, gotta go Tank. You've just called while I'm taking an online course here, good luck"

"Ripp, can you do me a favor?" Tank asked.

"Yes?"

"Dad is on a mission somewhere, he's in charge of some military operation out of town, could you take care of Buck for a few days, let him stay over with you?"

Ripp sighed "Why not you Tank? You've got the house to yourself, don't you?"

"Ripp, remember that dad adopted those two girls? Well, I'm already in charge of them for the next few days". Tank closed the exercise book and went upstairs and sat in the living room. "And I feel Buck trusts you more than he trusts me"

"Okay then, I'll see what I can do. I'll pick him up from school okay? You leave that to me" said Ripp.

"Well then, Bye bro" said Tank and hung up.

Tank sighed and went up to his gym and started doing bench press.

Ripp took the online quiz which is done after each lesson. Each chapter of the online course took less than an hour, and a pop quiz was given each time a lesson was done. Ripp loved to learn, but in things he liked, which included music, arts, and aviation.

Ripp went downstairs to his living room. The living room has a ceiling 2 floors high, which kept the room cool, as well as making a crooning sound when Ripp played the piano. This was Ripp's office, after all.

But today was diffrent for Ripp, he has to babysit his little brother for a few days, so he focused on his house first. Ripp's piano was a bit messy, pencil-drawn sheet music were piled underneath the baby-grand piano, and the piano itself needed polishing. The sofas were a bit dusty since he was quite obsessed with creating music over doing the house chores.

Ripp sighed, "clean up time, just like when I was a kid"

He started with the piano. Using special polisher, the piano was shiny again, the black surface mirrored its surrounding. He took the pile of sheet music, and carried to a cabinet in a spare room towards the back, before grabbing his vacuum cleaner to un-dust things.

It was enough for now. Ripp went out on the top deck of his house and composed, jotting musical notes onto the lined sheet of paper and playing piano in air, trying to check the notes and tunes. By noon, Ripp went down to have a meal, using a cookbook written by his friend, Giovanni Gioblossum. He went with a mushroom tomato soup for lunch. In his mind, he was thinking about many things, from his brother, his girlfriend Penz, and even his music. Ripp composed over 100 songs, yet, only 35 went public. He composed faster than he can distribute them for the public to hear, and several ended up in the wastebasket.

A few hours passed, Ripp was still jotting down notes with a pencil. An alarm sounded on his iPhone and buzzed.
It was a bit chilly that day, so Ripp put on a light jacket and a pair of jeans. Just as he was going to head outside, his cellular rang. He half hoped that it was Tank, wondering if he changed his mind.

It was Penz on the phone. "Ripp? Hello?"

"Oh Hi Penz!" answered Ripp as he closed the front door. "Wuz up?"

"Nothing, I was a bit lonely, I don't really have anyone else to talk to at the moment. Is this a bad time?"

"Nah, I'm just going out. Dad's going to be out for the weekend, and I have to babysit my little brother for the weekend." Ripp opened the door of his Porsche and got into the driver's seat. "Maybe call later this evening, I have to drive now"

"Okay then, um, see you later Ripp" said Penz.

"Bye Penz" both hung up their phones.

Ripp started the car, and the V6 came to life. He backed out drove down the road that headed downtown.

I hope I can pull this task off Ripp thought to himself as he shifted into fourth gear and the car accelerating If I can write beautiful piano pieces, why not babysit? Ripp was positive about this, he wanted to spend quality time with Buck, now he's got the chance.

Rupert "Ripp" Grunt: The main protagonist and the second son of General Buzz Grunt. He formerly was the black sheep of the Grunt, being the polar opposite of his older brother, Tank. With the lack of interest in the military, he discovered his musical talent and becomes a famed musician & composer. He is also going steady with Penelope "Penz" Van Dart and is still good friends with Johnny Smith & Ophelia Nigmos.

Ripp's true name is Rupert, but was called by his fake name as a code name by the General.



*Penelope "Penz" Van Dart: Second child of Business Tycoon Andre Van Dart, she is currently Ripp's love interest as well as being in love with Ripp. She is also a talented pianist and lives with her family in downtown strangetown, in the Van Dart manor. She is more interested in music than money.




Terrance "Tank" Grunt: The General's oldest son who wants to be like his father, until Ripp's runaway, Tank discovers that he was never really interested in being a general and tries to discover himself. He also has some musical talent, despite not being a Virtuoso like his younger brother. He currently attends a public college but still lives with the general. Tank is his code name given by the general.



Buck Grunt: The youngest of the Grunt brothers, Buck is treated better than the other two, but is somewhat neglected by the General. Buck himself also has musical talent like Ripp. Unlike his older brothers, Buck is the only one without a code name.




*#Ellie & Claire Grunt: Orphans who were adopted by the General and both have an unusual interest in joining the military, unlike most girls. Despite their military interest, they have similar personalities to Ripp, with the exception of being more active.



*Giovanni Gioblossum: Ripp's best friend who is a child prodigy in the culinary field, also lost both of his parents when he was very young. He owns a restaurant in downtown Strangetown and also like music--playing the violin. He currently lives alone in a small house in Strangetown.


*Andre Van Dart: A wealthy Business Tycoon in his late 30's who owns a toy manufacture corperation as well as an environmental enigneer, building and distributing solar panels and wind turbines. He has 5 children, with his elder daughter, Penz, in love with Ripp. Andre himself is best friends with Ripp and the rest of Strangetown.


*Alla Van Dart: Andre's wife, who runs a food franchise. She is also friends with Ripp Grunt and they have similar personalities.


*Michael Van Dart: Andre & Alla's oldest child, who is a senior business student, eager to run the family business.

*Kevin "Keez" Van Dart: Andre & Alla's third child, Michael & Penz's younger brother(and Penz's twin brother), currently a freshman studying vehicle engineering.

*Minax & Prudence Van Dart: Twin sisters, younger sisters of Michael, Penz & Keez. Both are attending a private school.

Ripp Grunt is no longer the family black sheep. He is no longer a low-paid gas station attendant, and he is no longer living with the General, but he still visits from time to time.

He is now 20 years old. He is a talented pianist, and music composer. He writes songs especially for the piano and has composed over 35 songs so far...

Fame also chased Ripp's talent. His beautiful music as he pressed on the wooden keys on the instrument mesmerized the public. But still, Ripp loved the quiet life. He preferred that. He had suffered long enough of being mistreated, bullied and abused. And fame basically fueled the tormenting. It was no help in healing him.

He was no longer in love with Ophelia. She had been going steady already with Johnny Smith. Ripp didn't mind that, but he didn't want Ophelia to be seen as a two-timer either--and a sacrifice was made. Even then, the two are friends. Now, Ripp is going steady with Penelope Van Dart, the rich daughter of Tycoon André Van Dart. Penelope, or known as "Penz" was also fascinated by music. She played piano, but for a hobby only, Ripp, in the other hand, had to make a living out of it. But it wasn't money and the family history that brought them together, it was the love for music. Penz loved Ripp
for the sound of the piano, Ripp the same. But she was in love with him first. Ripp loved her too, she was good-natured just like Ophelia, and was not one of those sassy and spoiled rich girls he'd seen in teen movies.

Ripp spends most of his time now writing music, and playing the piano. He also does violin. His house, located at the outskirts of Strangetown, was surrounded by green. The house itself was extremely high on environmental standards, and a solar dish, created by Ripp himself, gave the house it's electricity, independent from the nuclear power plants. He drove an algae fueled Porsche, which he brewed his own algae fuel. Both healthy for the environment, as well as independent from the pumps, where Ripp had wasted his life before. Been there, done that..

Back at the house where his family lived, the General, Buzz Grunt, is still the General. But after Ripp had moved from the house, the General was eager to change, just to have Ripp to finally forgive him. He loosen things up. He no longer had anyone on the obstacle course, even if it still remains.

The general has also adopted 2 kids, Claire and Ellie. With Tank no longer having any desire to join the military, Buzz figured out that adopting would benefit both sides. Giving orphans a home, as well as being able to reach their dreams. Both girls somewhat had an interest to join the military. However, they weren't treated the same way as his sons, only discipline was enforced.

Tank was somewhat lost in limbo, not knowing what to do with his life. He no longer had interest to join the military. He was brainwashed for his whole life, he lied to himself also. He lied that he wanted to become a general, in truth, he has no clue of who he is.

Buck, now almost in his teen years, was trying to discover himself also. Musical skills also applied in him, just like Ripp. He practiced and even had lessons from his talented brother, eager to make a good life out of himself. Ripp and Buck still saw each other a lot. They spent quality time with both fun and music.

All that is said for Ripp: he was free now. Which is what his loving, but deceased mother, had always wanted him to be...

The Grunts get a make over

For reason I cannot fathom, of why I would play the Grunt family over other sims families, despite the general's poor reputation in Strangetown.


I felt like the Grunt deserved to be saved by the dudes form "Queer eye for the straight guy". But of course, "Queer eye for the SIM guy" is non-existent, so, i volunteered to give the Grunts a makeover.

First of all, the General(a.k.a. Buzz Grunt), needed a real change. From treating his children a bit too much, to having the desire to pwning the entire strangetown. Already, Buzz has gotten into a fight with nearly ever single man in Strangetown; the Entire Curious brothers, Loki the mad scientist, and yes, Pollination Technician #9 whom is the only one the General lost a fight in. And ever since, is brutal enemies with the now retired alien.

The oldest son, Tank, needed something too. Whilst not as grouchy as his father, he is already getting somewhat "brainwashed" to the general's military tactics. And yes, a poor relationship with his brother, Ripp.

As for Ripp, my favorite sim in the entire game, also needed a little something as well. Out of all the three sons, Ripp is the only one with a job, being a gas station attendant, I felt like Ripp deserved a bit more than just hanging out at the pumps.

Whilst Buck is more or less lazy, like his brother Ripp. But noticing closely on Buck's health, he actually overweight, unlike Ripp who was quite slim.

Conclusion? Definitely worthy for a change of my hands....

First, the General's personality has been altered. Made him much nicer and more playful. But still with his title as the general. No change in clothes. His exterior looks remains the same.

Another change is that General Buzz Adopted 2 orphans who have an interest in the military, apparantly, they were girls named Ellie, and Claire.

Tank went for hardcore makeover. Well, got rid of his face paint. But, he tended to copycat Ripp. From buzzcut to long hair. So, as a result, Ripp and Tank look like identical twins(except for Tank who has a taller face). They wear the same clothes as seen. Black Pixar Cars T-shirts underneath with white short sleeved shirts over them. To confess, I'm a huge fan of that animation movie!

I also decided to give Buck a workout(why didn't the General do soemthing in the first place?). I had Ripp coach him on the treadmill and the weights. No obstacle course just yet...

The general has also adopted 2 girls, Ellie and Claire, who had a interest in joining the military. They need a foster home and a guaridan, and despite Genereal Buzz had to change a lot of his personality, he still fit the bill.

What's left, gotta see how the Grunts will live their new life!
